Hi-I am new to this site as of this week-end and in the early stages of diagnosis and treatment. Long story short, my bloating is what started me on the medical journey of trying to find out what is wrong with me. For the past 30 years I have suffered from immediate diahrrea after eating some foods, tummy problems when I am stressed (all the time lol) and general pain and discomfort in the stomach. I have pockets of gas in my bowels (discovered during a recent ultra sound)that does not pass and I guess that is why my stomach is so huge. I even at one point, went so far as to have a tummy tuck and I believe that is how I became aware of the amount of bloat. I think the problem was there all along but, I had a huge belly and so thought it was fat. There was of course fat too but, now after the swelling from the surgery is gone, I am still larger in the waistline than pro-op. Disappointing to say the least but also, with less skin in my stomach area, I can not stretch as well and the tightening is very painful. I also get pains in the side from where the gas is trapped inside me. I have already been checked for many things and I see gastro doc soon. My regular physician (and based on my research I agree) thinks I have IBS. Do you think my symptoms point that way too? If so, can you help me begin to try to help myself while I await treatment with the specialist. Oh-I also am in more pain and swollen more on one side and I get a bile taste in my throat when I am too hungry.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
