Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

Thought i'd share this....
**This isn't spam and I'm not trying to advertise anything...just trying to help**
'The Gut Trust' (Used to be called IBS Network) is the UK's only comprehensive support network for the self management of IBS.
I'm a member and can recommend them. It costs 24 per year to join and all of that goes into the research and support for IBS sufferers. It helps me to think that I am part of a support network and will get the best info I can on IBS.
When you join, you get loads of benefits:
* Quarterly members newsletter
* Online and by phone self management programme
* Fact Sheets
* 'Can't Wait' card (you give this to shop workers to save the embarrassment of asking to use their loo...some make you buy something first, but when I have shown this card, they say ok.
* Phone helpline
* Treatment/Drug reviews
* List of local self help groups
* Recipe archive
* list of friends/penfriends
* Books and CDs
I think it's well worth the money, and by joining you are giving the charity money to research IBS..and we all know more research is needed.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
DOH!
