I believe I've suffered from IBS most of my life. Over the last few years it's gotten worse. I did some volunteer work and the stress magnified my IBS systems. In September I came across The IBS Treatment Center in Seattle. I went through extensive food allergy testing. I have allergies to dairy, cane sugar, garlic and wheat (not gulten). Removing these foods from my diet has help tremendously. If I do eat one of these foods, within 1/2 hour I'm bloated and gassy. I also have anxieties.... at this time, this is the main trigger for my IBS. I have good days and days that I'm in the bathroom many times. Unfortunately, the IBS Treatment Center can not treat my anxieties.... I feel like in some ways I'm back to square one. Just started taking clonazepam 3 x a day to see if this will help with anxieties, also going to try acupuncture. My biggest fear is not getting to the bathroom in time.... this has happened. I feel I get into this cycle (OCD) of worry and that goes right to the digestive track and then there's no control.
