Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

I too am wondering about this. I just had a MC a month ago and the doc couldn't tell me if it was the IBS or not. But he did say that when I was TTC again that I'd have to go to a specialist like ever week or every 2. So I'd like to know anyone's advice too.

I did not know anything about IBS back when I was pregnant. I had it, but there was no diagnosis then. I had 4 very normal pregnancies with 5 live births - last ones were twins! It seems to be the hormones that set the IBS off. Progesterone is particularly the culprit for me. Never could take birth control pills or HRT. Track down the problem before you conceive again. God bless you and I will pray for you.
