Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.

Hello. I have been having abdominal pains for the past 3 years and they have grandually been getting worse. Dr. suspects IBS. I am wondering if my simptoms sound like any of yours. First of all, the pain I feel often starts in the lower right side of my pelvis. (Dr. ruled out gynochological problems). I especially feel it after eating. I also feel pains in the left side of my pelvis. At times (in the evening) the pain will radiate into my back and sides. I am currently on fiber suppliments and I am hoping that the symptoms get a little better.

I had simular complaints and they found I had gall stones. They used micro surgery to remove the gall bladder. I was back on my feet the same day.
I am also seeing that my IBS symptoms are worse in the morning after drinking coffee. Is that pretty common? I am thinking I need to stop drinking coffee (I only have 1 cup in the morning) but I don't know if I can!!!
