Hi. I'm new to this group. I started having IBS symptoms last year. I thought I was lactose intolerant at first because whenever I had ceareal in the morning my stomach immediately started to hurt and I'd have to use a bathroom sooner than later. I've tried to keep a journal to figure out which foods will upset my stomach, but there's so much stuff that does, so I eat it anyway, unless it's something I can avoid, like junk food or peanut butter. I find it very frustrating because there are soooo many foods that I can't eat becase of IBS, but I need to eat most of it because it's the stuff like vegetables and fruit and dairy. I don't exactly know too much about things that can replace other foods places. My mom and older sister have IBS. Both have the tyoe where they get bloated. I have the type that whatever I eat, my stomach hurts and makes me think I have to go to the bathroom. Just wondering if anybody had this type of IBS, had any suggestions, or anything like that. It would be very helpful! Thanks!
