Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Support Group
Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a urinary bladder disease of unknown cause characterised by pelvic and intense bladder pain, urinary frequency (as often as every 10 minutes), and pain with urination. It is not unusual for patients to experience nocturia and pain with sexual intercourse. IC is also known as painful bladder syndrome (PBS), particularly outside of the USA.

I recently was admitted to a local hospital with chest pain, dizziness, and hallucinations. I was treated with ativan and then released. I think I had a bladder infection. I received my medical records in the mail. It looks as though I had a bladder infection. I don't think I ever received antibiotics.
My question is this-why did I not receive anti-biotics? If I indeed did have a bladder infection, I was never made aware of it.
I am not prone to bladder infections, but I feel like someone should have made me aware of this condition.
Any feedback?

I was just looking at my ER record. Apparently I have anxiety and need to follow up with my psychiatrist.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
