Neurontin has helped me too. It takes months for the Elmiron to help and then the dr may need to increase the dose; I got a lot of relief once the dr increased my dose and I went on Neurontin and Vistaril. I can eat almost anything now and my peeing is almost normal in amount of times and I have much less vulvodynia......and believe me I had bad symptoms before. I was diagnosed about two years ago and am 57 years old. I used to use Tums a lot after eating or when I got bladder pain and it helped, but don't have to now. I was using Lidocaine ointment a lot too around the vaginal area, but rarely have to use it now. I know this can be very miserable and I hope you all find a way of relief. Don't forget to pray and have others pray for you.
