Usually I can't sleep until 5am, and that's okay. I'd still get 5 or 6 hours of sleep before I had to be somewhere. But in the last 72 hours I've had less than 5 hours of sleep. I'm not trying to stay awake. I've been in bed for half that time. I'm in bed right now, in fact. Every time I fall asleep, I wake up an hour later. Repeat. Repeat. I laid awake for six hours last night, trying to sleep. I felt exhausted but my brain wouldn't slow down. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm at my wit's end. I know I should go get a prescription for some sleeping pills, but that doesn't do me a whole lot of good in the long run.
