Has anyone tried sleep restriciton therapy with any success?
I'm limiting myself to 6 hours in bed. The first week was great but since thne i'm back to myo ld pattern of waking up after 3-4 hours nad being unable to go back to sleep.

Sleep restriction is a part of cognitive behavioural therapy and if followed correctly, it has the highest success rate for insomnia.Theres an excellent book called 'Desperately seekin snoozin' which teaches you CBT. Sorry cant remember the author.

I used to be crazy tired if I had more then 4-4.5 hours of consistent sleep. But now...I think I've improved a little....and I mean a little. Now, I need things to get me to sleep. I have to stay up one night straight, then take some bedtime tea and go to bed later on that day. Then I can do it. And I mean sleep straight through the night...and into the next afternoon. Depending on when I go to bed.
