I am always tired.....i can't get to sleep at night forever, I'm exhausted but can't fall asleep. When I do fall asleep I wake up for every little sound. When I wake up I am back at square one and can't get back to sleep. I fall asleep between 2 and 3 am and wake up every hour. I get a phone call at 7:30 am and lie awake after that and if I am lucky finally fall back asleep and continue to wake up. If I am lucky I get about 5 hours of sleep. It's not enough. I've tried trazadone. I started taking one. It worked for a short time. Then it was 2 and now that doesn't work. My mom is a nurse and says that based on the dose I can't take more than 2. I have no job and no insurance so I can't get a new perscription. Tylenol Pm and benedryl do not help. Even Relafin (a muscle relaxer) has put me to sleep in the past and now it doesn't. Will I ever get good sleep again???

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Nothing seems to work for me for more than a night or 2 - if they even work then. Most of them make me ever more awake, if that's possible.
Tylenol pm, benadryl and unisom all have the same active ingredient, which I wish I would have noticed before trying any of them and wasting time and money. lol
I long for a full night of restful sleep. I'm always tired. But, even as a small child, I didn't sleep. It drove my parents insane :D
When I did sleep as a kid, it was nightmare filled and I'd wake everyone up with screaming or my sleepwalking.
Even now, I sleepwalk and have nightmares when I sleep more than a couple hours.
