I've had chronic insomnia for a little over a year now. I've been able to manage it by cycling through various sleeping meds. Right now I'm on a combination of Trazodone, Ambien, Seroquel, and Geodon. I haven't developed a tolerance to this cocktail yet, which is a relief. Now I'm trying to find some kind of hope that one day I'll be able to get off the meds completely. Is there anyone out there who has successfully gotten over insomnia or found a way to treat it successfully without medication? I'm completely dependent on the meds right now, and they work, but I'd like to sleep without them and my psychologist says that maybe in 9-10 months we can start taking me off them. I'm nervous about that prospect and I was wondering if anyone has gone through that successfully.
