I had my FET today. I should be happy, right? Well, somethings just didn't seem right today. First of all, no one ever checked with us to see how many we wanted to transfer. When I talked to RE about it (Wednesday) I told him that we were trying to decide between 2 & 3. He said that he would have the lab call me first thing in the morning. No one called yesterday. So, I called the office and they said that they didn't need to know right then. I proceeded with my day and didn't think about it. Today when I arrived to pre-op the embryologist came up to DH and I and said that he thawed 3 embies. I never told him how many and neither did DH. I had 13 good embies and the embryologist said that he had to thaw 7 of them to get the 3 "ok" embryos. My mind was racing with thoughts at this time. Then when I asked where the pictures were that they took of the 3 that they were transferring and they said the printer was broke! There isn't another printer in this HUGE hospital?! It has only been two hours since my transfer and I am so confused. This is my first, so I don't know if this is considered normal. Are doctor's supposed to thaw what they want? Why didn't we have a say in this? Did two look "bad" so they decided to thaw another (even though I didn't give them permission)? Ultimatley we were going to transfer three, but that is not the point! Please give any advice!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Not sure about the printer. I would be a little upset too.
I am praying that although it did not go how it maybe should have, that the 3 they used turn into a BFP for you!
I go in for my first FET on January 3rd, if all goes well with my u/s tomorrow. I was never told that all 5 wouldn't make the thaw, that freaks me out.
We only have 5 and we planned on doing 2 then 3 if they didn't work. Uh oh! Better ask the doc tomorrow.
Sorry about your crappy situation. I pray that you are pregnant with this FET!
God Bless!
When are embryo's were frozen we requested that they each be frozen in seperate straws. We only ended up with two so I don't know if that will have helped us or hurt us.
Good Luck.
