I wanted to comment on the Dr. Phil show that was discussed on a post yesterday.
I just finished watching it, and I thought it was great. I don't think he said one insensitive thing.
Question: Which couple are you most like? (for those who watched)
DH and I are most like the first couple, but with a role reversal. I have 3 kids from a previous marriage and had my tubes tied. He decided a year or so into our relationship that he DID want kids after all. I guess he got his way.
Many of my friends and family members disagree with my decision to have a baby for him, but I couldn't be happier to give him his wish.
Can't wait to here all the stories!

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
We are not like any of the couples. I do not have a problem getting pregnant. I have trouble staying pregnant.
Also, when he bragged about his "boys" getting his wife pregnant so easily the second time--I felt this was an incredibly insensitive thing to say in front of infertile couples. Sorry, I did not think that it was a good show. But then again, I really don't like Dr. Phil to begin with.
The 2nd couple with PCOS I felt like the most, except my DH felt like I did.
I'm the most angry at our healthcare system in this country. Luckily, my IUI's cost $30. But what if i didn't have insurance? I don't know what i would do. it's just not fair-i'm not any better then they are. so i'm upset for these people.
I thought the show was impressive, however, I felt like it should have discussed PCOS further and in more detail.
I am with Dr. Phil though, do whatever it takes to have a child and invest in your future.
Life IS short.
Update:
The Reames' effort to have another child was unsuccessful. Robert and Arminae have moved on and continue enjoying life with their precious daughter, 7-year-old Audrey.
