My RE said the soonest we could do our frozen transfer would be Jan. I'm fine wiht that, I want to rest over the holiday anyway. So whats the whole procedure with frozen, different shots? Are the odds using frozen pretty much the same as fresh? Thanks everybody, Stacy

You wouldn't have to do the exact same protocol because you don't need to grow follicules. Your odds using frozen embies is not as high as fresh. They always say fresh is best, but that doesn't mean frozen embies won't work. Good Luck.

I am doing my FET. I am due for my e/t on the 30th. I am taking estradiol shots and then will introduce progesterone as well. I find these shots to be a bit more than the stim meds because they are all IM. My understanding of success rates are that some of your eggs will not survive the thaw process, however you have not used your best eggs in the fresh cycle so you will still have the best of the best eggs to choose from. Does that make any sense? Why couldn't you do fresh cycle? I couldn't because my ovaries hyperstimulated.

I did do a fresh cycle, it ended in a chemical pregnancy a week in. So we still have 3 good eggs, I hope they all make the thaw! When talking to my RE she said that no shots involved, they just use patches? Anybody done this? I considered going straight to another fresh cycle but figure I might as well use what we have, maybe better odds use right away then keep frozen for longer? Any advice helpful

I am under going my FET this December (11th..hopefully). My protocol is lupron at 10 units, first blood and ultrasound 11/20 and than estriadol (i spelt that wrong) with a patch and than progesterone suppositories than transfer (if they thaw correctly) and the waiting begins. I too, asked your same questions to my RE and she said a few things. First, the stats of thawing in her clinic is a 95% success rate. She said once thawed and transfered they have the same changes as fresh. In fact, she joked with us earlier on and said that she wished all her patients did FET...so every doctor has their own opinion and each situation with the embies, uterus environment etc. is different. We want to attempt our FET before moving onto another fresh cycle. Good luck to you!

Just had FET on Thursday. Took Lupron, estrace then introduced prometrium and Progesterone suppositories. Not as many shots as fresh cycle but lots of oral meds. No patch for me. 3 frozen, 2 survived thaw and were transferred. Doctor described FET as a "bonus round" which was a helpful way for me to think about it. Less stressful. Good luck with it!

I am scheduled for my FET the 26th. I am on Estrace right now, orally. I will have an u/s the 21st and if all looks good I will start the steroid and antibiotic and the PIO injections. What my clinic told me is that as long as they survive the freeze, they have just as good of a chance as the fresh ones. Good Luck!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
