I think most women say it is not so bad. There can be pain after and nausea from the meds, but you will be okay.
I pray they get a lot of great follicles!
In regards to your numbers, the amount of follicles is good but my RE wanted mine to be 22 before he did the ER. Every RE might have different opinons on the size.
Good luck!
I don't have any experience with IVF, but I'm sending you all the luck and baby dust I can get my hands on.
Take care of yourself and we're thinking of you.
What to expect? I think there are slight differences in the details, but basically they take you in, you don the gown, you get your IV breakie (sugar water), they wheel you in the procedure room, give you a little "cocktail" in your IV and the next thing you know you wake up after it's all done with your partner standing next to you.
A 1/2 hour or so later they came in to tell us how many eggs they got. They make sure you can get up to pee, and then you can go home! I took the rest of the day off, but felt pretty good the day after. I would make sure to eat fiber (prunes, prune juice or whatever works for you) as I was miserably constipated for the following 2 days. (Sorry tmi)
GOOD LUCK!!
