OK, so I'm just still reeling from our low fertilization rate despite using ICSI. I'm doing a lot of reading on other labs' websites, and also some research articles, and I'm seeing that, as long as the egg is mature (they won't even attempt ICSI on an immature egg) fertilization rates are usually in the neighborhood of 60-80%. I had 12 mature eggs but only got a 25% fertilization rate despite using ICSI on all 12 (expensive!!). If anyone doesn't mind and knows their numbers, what did your fertilization rates look like? I understand that fertilization doesn't guarantee continued embryo development, but geez, it's the first step! Any help is appreciated.
