I am confused about what tests you should have or could have prior to invasive methods ie: laparoscopy, HSG etc.. I have had basic tests like progesterone levels, STD's, Rubella and my DH has had his swimmers checked for count and motility. I have read that there are a bunch of other tests you can have done like CM challenge test (gross I know) and a CA-125 which tests for a chemical that is released if you have endo? Does anyone know about these tests or other tests that are recommended prior to invasive ones or IUI/IVF? I havn't been to a specialist yet only the Family Planning doctor and she tells me there are no other tests I can have and just have to have the laparoscopy. I will have the laparoscopy (which I am quite apprehensive about) but just want to know if there is any other tests I can do in the mean time while I am waiting for surgery.
