went to RE yesterday for US,last of bloodwork, meds class and to get med calender for my upcomeing IVF cycle.everything went well except they had to poke DH 3 times before they got blood(and he hates needles)everything looked good.i am excited, my donor is excited and we have ER set for feb 15 and ET set for feb 18. i can't wait.some of you may know my story, i am the oldest woman on the boards.i will be 49 next week.an inhibben-b test showed my egg ovarian reserve to be low so we made the decision to do my only shot at IVF with donor eggs.useing my own eggs lowered the success rate to 20% and i have a 1 in 8 chance of haveing a downs syndrum baby. so with alot of support and love from my wonderful DH we have decided to use a 22yr old nursing student as an egg donor.i start lupron shots sunday, i am so excited i can't wait.
