I have a strange question and it may be tmi but here goes. I am supposed to start Prometrium tomorrow. It is a progesterone supplement that you insert vaginally. And I am wondering two things. How far up there do you put it? And can my DH and I still BD while I am on that? I am sorry these are kinda tmi questions but I am still waiting to hear back from my RE.

I was told to put it in as far as you can. Are you doing IVF? If so my RE says no sex until beta test. It sucks, but the progesterone is really leaky and nasty, so I am guessing it would be a pretty big turn off for the both of us anyways. Here is some advice though... Wear a panty liner the whole time because they leak all over your panties. (sorry to be gross)

I took the prometrium suppositories last cycle and they never told us anything about avoiding sex, but we weren't doing iui then either. agreed about the panty liners, the pills make a mess. and just put it up in there like a tampon. gross, but you will get used to it!!!

When we did IVF, i also was on the same progesterone and our doctor also said the same thing to us as they did to jcbuck. Good luck to you.

Ok, another tmi question but since I will be starting the progesterone within the next month, I am going to ask it. Since it is so leaky, nasty, wet (for lack of a better word) any of you ladies have problems with yeast infections? Gross, I know but this Doxycycline is doing a number on me as it is.

No problem with a yeast infection, though I think I am one of very few women who has never had one. The prometrium is nasty, very messy and my Dr. said the same thing as the above ladies, no sex until after beta BW. I didn't take the Doxycycline this IVF round because the first one my DH & I ended up horribly sick about a month after the trial and our cause & effect lead us back to the antibiotic. So I asked if it was manditory this round and my Dr said no, it was just preventative incase one or both of us ended up sick at the time of retrieval & transfer. We took the risk as we rarely get the sniffles let alone really sick and other than being worried during this 2ww and me being a little tender we both feel fantastic. Hope that helps, good luck!

i was not told to hold off on BD, we did timed intercourse. But i was turned off and parainoid that the sex and prometrium would meet in contact so we just didnt. I insert it as far as I can comfortably and then wear a pad.

I'm on Procheive, which is a gel, and my nurse told me to expect discharge, but I hardly have any, not even enough for a panty liner. Also, I'm doing IVF, and we were told to hold off until 1 week after the ET...which is tomorrow and I can't wait, must be hormones....

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
