Sorry I don't know what OHSS is?

It is Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome.

Yes. But I did not have to be hospitalized, thank God. It took about two weeks to feel better. If you're pregnant, it will most likely persist until the end of the first trimester.

I had it, but they didn't do the transfer because of it and I was not hospitalized. They told me that if I did the transfer and got pg it would make it worse. It took me over a week to get better, but like I said I did not have a transfer and that can make it last longer and get worse before it gets better if you are pg.

Its a worry isnt it? I had 40 follicles, went ahead with a delayed egg retrival. The next day I was hospilalised bad bloating, breathless and vomiting. I was sore for about a week. I was lucky to have 5 day transfer. which caused alot of pain after only for an hour. Day 9 i felt my normal self then day 10 was freaked out by bleed. I spotted day 10 til end of day 13. I know now that was implantation bleeding for definate which happens to 1 in 3. It was day 16 that I started feeling a little more possitive at the fact i could be pg b/c I could feel twinges in my ovaries. I had heard the follies can refill when pg. Felt a little bloated again (nothing worrying no ill side effects). Day 17 got my result which was this tues got a BFP!!! I wish you lots of luck!!!!!!!

I thik that is why they have me take Medrol when doing a trasfer (or I am tinking of something else). But I thought they said it is to help keep that from happeneing. I am pretty sure it is a steroid of some sort. Any one else use that with a cycle?

My sister had OHSS last year and had to be hospitalized. She had to have a bunch of water drained. She did not take much time off work. She is now fine and has a baby out of it. I don't want to alarm you, but she did end up getting pneumonia shortly after so really watch yourself and take it easy. She has a really stressful job where she travels lots and she should have taken more time off in my opinion. Good luck - maybe like her you are pregnant!

Thanks Everyone! I have been home one day and still feeling a little ill, but I now know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have my test on Monday, so we will see.
