My husband and I have exhausted all aspects of infertility treatment and have been referred to an Infertility clinic for IVF. I met with the MD and we are waiting our final decision for a Day 3 FSH level. I have had endometriosis, requiring 3 laproscopic surgeries, as well as an appendectomy and a right oophrectomy. The MD says I have probably only 1/4 of the ovarian reserve, however definately suggests IVF as the best option. The problem is that this is a one shot deal for us. The cost is all out of pocket and will be between 15-17000 dollars. The infertility is a female factor and I am so worried about what will happen to me if this does not work. We do have a 4 year old miracle that we concieved on Clomid, however we have always wanted more children. Does IVF work on the first try? How can I boost my chances? I am trying to loose weight and get a healthier lifestyle and other suggestions?
