This was my first round of IVF and several hyperstimulated - ret 34 eggs and they said they didn't take all the eggs because they couldn't reach them all. Now I've been extremely sick - dizzy and nausea when I stand up, very short of breath just walking to the couch, and very bad back pain. Is this common? I did hyperstimulate about 8 years ago on an IUI cycle and don't remember it being nearly this bad. Any suggestions on making the recovery any faster? I've been in the hospital on iv pain meds and home for the past 2 days. But I have to get back to work tomorrow even though I still am in pain and short of breath. Work will accomadate me with letting me sit more than run in the office but sitting even hurts. I'm glad we didn't have to cancel the cycle and hope we have enough embryos to freeze because I don't want to do another fresh cycle.

I think you should talk to your Dr or someone about this. I had hyperstimulation a couple of years ago and once you get to a certain point they get really worried about blood clots and while my symptoms weren't as bad as yours, I was still ordered on to immediate bed rest and ended up in hospital on an IV (for fluids to keep my blood thin) and so I could be monitored...I am worried about you going back to work - it sounds like you may need another opinion on this!

I have hyperstimulated three times and your symptoms sound like that is happening again to you. Is it possible to take more time off work? I would definately bring this to your doc's attention. I hope you feel better!

Hi, I didn't get hyperstimulated after my ER but I did get very sick. The symptoms were very similar to yours. I had to go to hospital for 2 days and take morphene as the pain was so unbearable. I had lots of tests and hyperstimulation wasn't the problem. My RE was not worried in the slightest and he said it was just lots of blood and fluid in my stomach but I did get an unusually bad dose. When I got home, I found walking around a little bit at a time helped and once I started to eat some good food I started to improve quicker. Just keep thinking that it is only temporary and that your body will be back to normal in no time. Definitely checking with your RE is a good idea if you haven't already (just in case). If I were you, I would have some more time off work (if you can) and just take it easy to give your body a chance to heal (and it will have no fear about that- even if it doesn't seem like it at the moment). I took lots of time off but I wouldn't have had a hope of going to work in the 2 weeks after the ER.It was hard enough just to hang the clothes on the line. I hope this helps. Good luck and take care of yourself.

I also hyperstimulated, they even coasted me 4 days before ER; and even though 2 days before my E2 was still over 5000, he had me trigger. Anyway, the main thing he said to look for is diarrhea. But some of the symptoms you mention I believe could be symptoms as well. Seems just that he made a huge emphasis on the diarrhea. Oh and massive weight gain (like 2 lbs or so a day?). But you don't want to guess, please get checked out for sure.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
