I completed a hysteroscopy/D&C procedure this past Tuesday, October 30th. Before being discharged, i was told i may be sore for up to 1-2 weeks and have some minor bleeding for up to 1-2 weeks. The bleeding had stopped that evening of surgery and came back a few days later and hasn't left. It's not a lot (doesn't even fill an entire pad..sorry for the details). For those of you who've had this procedure done, can you share with me how long it took you to recover and when your bleeding, if any had stopped? My post op appointment with my doctor is 11/9. Thanks for reading and sharing!

I had a D&C about fifteen years ago due to blood clots in my fallopian tubes. I felt terrible for about a week. I had terrible pain after the procedure that lasted for about a week. I also bleed off and on for about a week. I can't recall how much blood but I know I stayed in bed almost an entire week. Hope you feel better soon!

I had a hysteroscopy (and a lap at the same time) and I had light - moderate bleeding for about 4 or 5 days.

I've never had one, but my sister had a D&C 4 weeks after having my nephew because she did not stop bleeding after the birth. She had some discomfort, but we all went shopping the night of the procedure. Of course she had pain meds, but she did fine walking the stores for about 2 hours before we had to take her home. The next day she said she felt pretty good.

I had a hysteroscopy in Feb. I had very light bleeding for around four days. I had bad cramps the day after - but they weren't too bad considering I didn't take any pain meds.

Hi... you must be reading my mind! I had a hysteroscopy/laproscopy done on the 22nd of October and my discharge paperwork said that I would have some spotting/bleeding for 4-5 days as well. I haven't stopped since them = again, agreeing with you, it's like but still existent and does require wearing a pad. I have had some mild, period-like cramps as well but I'm still on the BC pill and won't finish them out until the end of this week. I emailed my nurse and she hasn't gotten back to me - if she doesn't respond by the a.m., I'm going to call her directly. 4-5 days is one thing, but I'm on day 9 and getting a little nervous. I'm hoping that it's just that everyone's body responds differently but you never know. I will respond when I hear from her with her thoughts/suggestions!

I had a few laparoscopies and D&C's between 10 -20 years ago. I did bleed for a while with them and I think one ran into AF cycle so I had that bleeding too. I think it took be a bit longer to recover from the first one. Or, it could be that I remember that one the most since it was my first. But it does take a few weeks sometimes for bleeding and or pain to go away. I think they told me as long as it was not heavy bleeding then I was okay.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
