OK, here is a really dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyway...
When they do the ET, why does the egg stay long enough to implant and not just 'fall out' due to gravity? My office says I just have to rest for 15 minutes and then go about my usual business. Does this not increase the chance for the egg to work its way out of the uterus? (ie: is there some kind of *magical* hormonal friction that keeps the egg in place?). I'm sorry for being so dense, but I would be interested in what other people have been told, or what your thoughts are?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Oh ya I forgot...for about 5 days I was scared to even pee because of the gravity thing. I just didn't see how they couldn't fall out.
This is what it says on line: once the embryos are placed in the uterus they appose to the uterine wall and are not affect by gravitational forces.
My nurse said it is just not possible for it to fall out. I wish I had a better medical explanation for you :-)
