Hi All - i just started my first IUI cycle with injectable medications and I'm a little confused. My dr is out of town so i'm trying to find the answer on my own before bothering her. the three meds she prescribed are gonal f, cetrotide, and ovodril (sp?). I understand the gonal f is to help with ovulation and i started that last night but my dr. said to wait on the cetrotide until after the follicle scan and also to wait on the ovidrel. I am scheduled to have a follicle scan on fri and she thought we might do the insemination as early as saturday so.... when the heck do i use the cetrotide and ovidrel??? if any one has any insight or would like to share their own schedule/experience i would be sooooo grateful!!!!
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I never used the Cetrotide, but if I am correct, that would be used if they thought your body was about to have an LH surge which indicates ovulation and they wanted to prolong it. So if you did not have enough follicles of good size by that time they may want to keep your body from ovulating.
I used a regular hCG, but I know Ovidrel has hCG in it and is used to trigger ovulation. Usually it would be 36 hours before IVF egg retrieval and I would think within the same time span for IUI. I did not use an ovulation trigger when I did IUI.
It can be confusing. Good Luck!
