Ok, I'm already past that but I'm really starting to wonder if I was the only one who didn't have to have a full bladder for her ET?? And I'm reading about them doing it via u/s- which I didn't have either. Basically mine was just like an IUI.
Seems it's just one of those things again where all RE's are different......

I had to have a full bladder, but it wasn't so they had to wait, and wait and wait. My RE did do it via U/S.

I had to have a full bladder too. Maybe you can ask your doctor why you didn't? That might put your mind at ease.

With my mock transfer, I had to have a full bladder and will need a full one once I do the ET.

I didn't have to, nor do I with my U/S. In fact they made me empty my bladder before ET and my ultrasounds now.

same here, full bladder and via U/S

Well good thing my RE has "x ray" vision. lol Here's what I found online about that: The patient is usually requested to have a full bladder which makes the uterus easier to see with an abdominal sonogram. The sonogram serves as a guide for the physician who is performing the procedure. A predetermined number of embryos are loaded into a fine transfer catheter which is passed through the cervix. The sonogram guides the physician to the appropriate spot at the top of the uterus, and the embryos are deposited from the catheter into the uterus. Following the procedure, the patient will usually remain in a recovery room resting on her back for approximately two hours.

I was asked to have a semi-full bladder which I thought or at least I felt like I had a full bladder but come to find out that when I was in the o.r. one of the nurses said I had an empty bladder!!!!

Yikes, does this mean you have to lay there for two hours on your back feeling like you have to pee?

Yes I had a full bladder too and with a sonogram. It was kind of neat because if we get a BFP, that's how we will see our baby(ies)!

i had to have a full bladder but i was so nervous i coldnt keep it inside so by the time we went for the et it was empty and hard for the dr to see via sono my uterus. he put it in the middle of the uterus. also i had to lay for 30 minutes after. idk how i'll do it this time with the full bladder thingie. and then they press on your stomach wtih the sono. that is hard to keep inside. i heard sometimes the women actguallyh pee on the dr. lol.

my bladder was beyond full, so after the transfer they gave me a bed pan. otherwise I was going to have to wait 30 min. to pee and that was not going to happen!!!! So I didn't lay there for 2 hours either. hope 30 min was enough!

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
