Fresh or Frozen

My first fresh cycle ended in a chemical pregnancy a few days ago. I have 3 frozen. My insurance pays a 20grand limit on any fertilty treatment, I have used up about 6700. I'm torn between just trying the frozen around jan or should I try another fresh first. Is your body more receptive after a fresh, since I technically did get a positive. I know the frozen is much easier on your body too. My logical part of my head says use the frozen, they are there waiting and maybe wont have to go through another fresh. But then if fresh has much higher success, and I still have insurance money left, do fresh. Not sure yet, just wanted some opinion. Has anybody done a fresh then left their frozen on ice to try another fresh? Thanks,Stacy

I have not had to make that choice, but probably would of used frozen since I had such a tough time with the ER. I know my RE said fresh may be better, but ET may go easier if your body is not stressed from the stim and ER.
Which way are you leaning?

If you can afford it, I would do another fresh cycle. For one thing, my RE (and I think all REs) will tell you that fresh is definitely better than frozen. For another, a lot of embies don't survive the thaw. If you did another fresh, and froze extras, then you could thaw embies from both cycles together to get your best ones. Just a thought.

This is a tough one. My RE said exactly what Susan's said - most embies don't make the thaw. Once they do, you have a lower chance of getting pregnant. I suppose if you need a bit of a break, then fET would be a good choice. If you just want your BFP as quick as possible, than perhaps fresh is best. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I am doing FET tomorrow and did it in the past. I did get PG only to MC but when I did fresh I didn't get PG. I think it matters the quality of your frozen eggs. You also need to check with your ins. company and make sure you can do another IVF and not use thr frozen embyros. Ins. companies are wierd sometimes!!

We will be doing our first IFV early next year, so I don't know how I would feel. I read what Susan suggested and that really sounds like the best option. I too have read that frozen has a lower sucess rate.

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
