I gave myself my first Ganirelix injection last night. I thought it was harder to give than the Follistim. Anyone else felt this way or did I just have a funky Ganirelix. I felt the needle was not very sharp, like I really had to use some force to get it to go in. The Follistim just kind of goes in without a problem.
Also, it says to pull the syringe back and if there is any blood do not inject there. Why is this and what will happen if you inject anyway.
I did not have blood but I was not home when I did my injections last night and I just took one Ganirelix with me. I was worried that I would see blood and not have another one to start over with. Especialy when the needle was so hard to get in to begin with. I can only imagine how dull it was after the 1st stick.
Thanks ladies for all your wisdom.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good luck!
If you do hit a vein, you do not have to take the needle completely out, just pull it out a tad or push (if able) it in just a tad. That should be enough to get past the vein and inject into the muscle or fatty tissue. Hope this helps.
Good luck and baby blessing to you!!!!
