Does everyone here get them? I have never had one but my work is offering them today and I was wondering if I should get one since we are ttc. I had my IUI on 10/31 and I don't know if it is safe to have one or not. Does anyone know? Any advice would be appreciated.

I researched this topic as well b/c my work was giving them(I work in a hospital)It does seem to be safe, in fact alot of docs insist on it, however I would call your doc to double check

I got mine last Friday. I too, asked my doctor before hand, and he said they are now safe to get in the first trimester. If your doc agrees, I think you should get it. If you would get influenza during pregnancy, it is so bad on the baby.

I had mine during my second month. They are completely safe now to get while trying to conceive and while in your first trimester. Before you had to wait until your third trimester. I would definately get it.

I get it yearly at work, I had the flu last year and I was miserable and the hospital told me I would have been worse without the shot, I couldnt imagine being any worse so I will be sure to get it from now on! :)

we did an iui too, and the doc said it was okay to take one before we did our iui, but not after. so i would really check with your doc before you do anything. Wednedsay you test, right?

My doctor advised not to get the flu shot in my first trimester (I'm currently 8 wks pg). However, I have read that it is safe in the first trimester. Follow your doc's advice!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
