when you go throu IUI and the dr. is doing ultasounds and they see your eggs, do they know if your eggs are good for the sperm. I'm talking about the sperm to fertilies the egg?

You cannot tell by looking if an egg is good or not. All you can tell is if it is large enough to be released (ovulated). I've learned that most human eggs are of poor quality ... but they cannot tell that just from looking.

They are looking at the follicles on the u/s. There is no way of knowing if there is an egg in all of the follicles, they can only hope. They only way to truly know if there are eggs and they are viable is if they drain the folliles to retrieve the eggs and then send them to the lab. That's what my RE told me...

I wish they could tell you anything about the eggs. But yeah, they won't know how many eggs you even have til retrieval and even if they fertilize; they can still have something genetically wrong with them. After ET, it's all up to the guy upstairs!!

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
