Hi ladies!
This will be my 2nd IUI, 1st was in August and I got a BFP, but m/c at 8 weeks. The protocol is the same, Femara 7.5mg cd 3-7, u/s day 12 and ever other day after that until 18mm follie...trigger that night, IUI 36 hours later. My question is my RE has me coming in for day 3 ultrasound tomorrow. Why is he having me do this? The nurse explained way back when that if a cycle is unsuccessful they would have me come in on day 3 to check my ovaries. But, I haven't done a cycle in months. I don't have an issue with the u/s, just curious as to what they will look for tomorrow. Any ideas?

My RE actually always does day three blood work and u/s no matter what. They look at your lining and also to make sure you don't have any cysts that may impede the cycle...good luck!! I go in on Wednesday for mine for my second fresh IVF cycle to start...

I always had to do a day 3 ultrasound when I was on injectibles just to make sure that my ovaries weren't still stimulated from the previous cycle. When I was on Femara I didn't have to but I think it's a good idea. Especially since you had a m/c your RE probably just wants to make sure your body is ready to begin treatments again. Good luck with everything!

I just had a Day 3 ultrasound to make sure that I didn't have any cysts from the last cycle. The RE is probably going to just check to see how things are at the earlier stage. You will do great! Hoping wonderful things this cycle for you! Wish I was doing my IUI this month so we could be 2ww buddies!

I was dying to get home tonight so I could update! Baseline u/s went well, everything looked great! My lining was 6.5. I have a total of 13 potential follicles....7 on the right, 6 on the left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Started my Femara today, next ultrasound is Thursday, January 20th!!!!

That is the usual protocol to make sure that the lining is ok, that there are no ovarian cysts present etc...At the clinic I go to, day three full bladdar u/s is common practice. I would not worry.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
