Blood Sugar

I have been having a lot of symptoms that seem like blood sugar related. Doctor tested and said results are normal, but the test that looks at past few months is at the high end of normal range. I have to watch it and monitor my already low sugar, healthy diet. Could be early signs of diabetis (don't run in family).
He said some meds can cause it. Has anyone else noticed any changes from meds or diabetic like symptoms? I know hormones can play a role in it and well, with all the meds they have me on for IVF...

Have they put you on metformin to help you ovulate? This is a blood sugar regulator and can eventually lead to pre-diabetes.

Not to sound contradictory, but at the endocrinology practice where I work we give people with pre-diabetes (impaired fasting glucose and/or impaired glucose tolerance) Metformin to help delay the onset of diabetes because it improves insulin resistance.
But I don't know if any of the other hormonal meds we take for infertility lead to increased blood sugar. What have your fasting numbers looked like?

I do not take Metformin.
Not positive about PCOS. I get a lot of ovarian cysts. Not sure if that is what they said when all this began over 20 years ago. I get cysts, they burst, sometimes I need meds for it.
I did fast for the lab tests.
I have reactive hypoclycemia, but this feels worse.
Also, I noticed the drastic change right after I stopped all meds when told not pregnant.

I found a list of some drugs that can increase blood sugar levels. Low and behold, a few of mine were there... Progesterone treatment, estrogen and Medrol. Also were Corticosteroids and steroids. All of which were in my system the month of August and some in September. What is odd though is the worst of how I am feeling came after I stopped everything.
I don't think the average person realizes what we put our bodies through b/c we want a child and to be a parent so much.

It does worry me when I think about it. Some of these drugs are just so powerful. Thanks for the info.

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
