Why do doctors ask you to take birth control pills before IVF ??? pls reply I am confused.

It's all about timing and controlling when things happen I think. They also want to stop you from ovulating on your own so that they can induce a more productive ovulation with drugs? I think that is kind of it right ladies???

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was going to say. It seems like a contradiction though, doesn't it? Taking 'birth control' pills when all you want, more than anything in the world, is to become pregnant. I guess it's just all part of the process (and a long one it is) but just take it day by and one step at a time and you'll do great.

My RE said that they want your ovaries to be at "complete rest" before you start stims. That way they will both respond at the same speed.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
