I did my first round of gonal-f injections this month. I am supposed to do my HCG shot tomorrow night. Nurse called and said I have two lead follicles and a few others that may or may not mature enough to be released. I have a friend that did injections two months in a row and had 6 mature follicles each time......she got a BFP the second month. I really wanted a handful of eggs on both sides (both lead follicles are on one side). Was I asking too much????????????? Should I still be positive? I had stage 3 endo on my left side that was removed a few months ago...I am nervous because that is the side my endo was on!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
All the best
Now, it's a whole different story (just had my 2nd lap - very advanced stage 4 - i guess the fertility meds made it kinda go haywire).
ANyway, that's off the topic. I would think that you'll be fine. I've known two ladies who only had one tube and one ovary - on opposite sides. I.E., left ovary intact, right tube intact. And they got pregnant. Our bodies, even though they aren't always what we expect or desire, are capable of amazing things. Try to stay positive - you've got a great shot.
Finally - my old RE had said that with meds, somewhere between 1 and 3 follicles is ideal... the eggs are better quality that way than if you have more. I think she was an excellent RE, and I trust her on that one. (I only switched because she has no IVF experience due to her entire career happening at a lutheran hospital / clinic).
Thanks everyone for responding. Keep the positive energy and success stories coming! Thanks!
