Hi folks,
Struggling with my latest beta report. First beta was only 32, now second one only a 61. (BOO)!
The RE office isn't hopeful that I'll make it through this...so, OKAY. More IF rollercoaster fun.
What I'm wondering about is next time (hopefully there will be a next time). Do you all know of ANYTHING you can do to improve your HCG levels? Supplements, shots, prayer???
I'm worried that my window for having a baby is closing fast (39 yrs old). I wish I could snap my fingers and make everything work out!
Any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks to everyone...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Good luck
Katy, I was curious about your HCG 'booster' shot...hadn't heard of such a thing before. Is that common protocol with your Doc?
Thanks for your reply to my ivf discussion. The 39+ can still work. My partner was born when his mum was 44 and that was 41 years ago, when there was no medical assitance procedure for this. My friend's auntie recently had a baby at 51, unassisted with any hormone treatments or anything else. That was two years ago. So there is always hope. You could always go to a natural therapist and see if they can help. I know how you feel though, as I am 42 and I was trying herbs for years before getting my partner to have the tests and finding out it was his sperm too low too slow and that ivf only way for me. But then i only got one egg which they weren't expecting, so it must be me and him. And even though I know my partner was born late to his mother (and is only child) I still have great reservations as to myself getting pregnant. The ivf clinic I have gone to that I dislike is in Melbourne Australia, so I'm not sure it would help by naming to this site, as I notice that it's mostly US and UK people on this site. I still have a two week wait to go, but if I am going to just go to my GP to get the pregnancy test done and then see what she recommendeds from there. I won't be going back to the clinic i have used though, there is one other choice here, so i hope it's good. When I am done with the procedure, I will name them publicly though, still trying to figure out how, but I am keeping notes and not intending to sue or anything like that, just want them to change how they treat people, as it seems the IVF centres have no-one they answer to, not here anyway.
sorry if this is too long a reply.. good luck to you.
