I was dealing with the side effects of Gonal F quite well, but yesterday we started our antibiotics (Doxicycline) and now I am feeling utterly miserable--queasy, no appetite, everything smells too strong, terrible headache, and I don't know if it is the antibiotics, the stims finally getting to me (I'm on Day 7 of stims) or a combination of the two. Did any one else feel this retched before retrieval? I feel like a big baby, but I need to hear that I will start feeling better soon. (I'm supposed to be on antibiotics for two weeks, so I'm hoping these side effects will get better).

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
I start to feel a little more uncomfortable around day 7 of stims. But I don't start ABX (they give me the doxy too and I do not do well with it) But I don't start that until the day of ER (I take it twice a day)
I think they IV'd it during ER last time and it made me sicker.
I take it for 4 days. I am not sure why you have to take it for 2 weeks. I also take Medrol for 4 days starting day of ER which is supposed to help keep swelling down.
You may want to see if they can change the doxy to something that won't make you as sick, or if you take it twice a day take it after lunch and after dinner. For some reason, breakfast just is not enough food for me to keep me from getting sick.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
Once I forgot to eat first and I was if bed for 24 hours.
You'll get better, good luck
