Just curious...has anyone had more than 3 IUI's?
My DH and I did 3 IUI's at the end of last year. We took a break because I had two surgeries and was on Lupron for 6 months. We are now starting again with IUI. Just wondering if I am wasting my time/money and should be moving ahead to something else.

I did 2, but I was 38 and did not want to waste any time. Good luck!

I just did my 4th and I test on the 14th to see if it worked. I had 3 mature follicles so it was definitely a good attempt. But for some reason, after 3 unsuccessful attempts, it's hard to think that #4 would be any different. My next step will probably be IVF - IUI obviously does not work for me.

I am on my 5th and last. The 1st three we on Clomid and a big waste of time. The 4th was with 150iu Menopur, ended up with 3 mature follicles but no success. Last month the Dr. increase me to 225iu Menopur and I did not respond well, IUI cancelled. This month I am taking Follistim and Menopur and seeing a good response. I am on day 10 and it looks like I should have 4-5 mature follicles. If it doesn't work this month we are onto IVF. My advice is if you are doing IUI I would recommend skipping clomid and going for the injectables- I don't hear many women with success with Clomid. Good luck.

I don't think you could ever waste your time if it means that you are increasing your chances, even if it's only by a few percent. We did 4 before moving on to IVF and I don't regret any of them that we did for a second. I have no regrets and I am glad we tried it 4 times before IVF. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your responses. If #4 doesn't work, my next step is injectables or IVF. IVF scares me for some reason though so I am very hesitant to move forward to that.
