Harvesting Eggs Post-Hyst
I had a TAH/LSO at 29 (now 31), so I still have my right ovary, although it has a cyst on it. Through a series of trial and error HRT, I finally found a combination that works for me, so my ovary is functioning at the moment. I read somewhere that approx 70% of women who keep one or both of their ovaries experience ovarian failure within 5 years of a hyst. If this is true, I don't have much time!! I know that I want to have children and am researching the process of having my eggs harvested. Has anyone had this done? How did it affect you? What can I expect? I realize that others may encounter a variety of different results, but any feedback is welcome.

Went to drs to for follow up. Was told a hysterectomy will be performed. I agree its my best option. I am 53 and in menopause. My ovaries are full of cysts and causing pain. A hole in one ovary. Polyps in cervix and uterus. Had uterine ablation in Feb. I need relief and to get back to normal life. What do I need to know prior to surgery? What can I do to prepare?

I had to have a lung biopsy, and I have cancer. A very rare form that doesn't have any standard treatment. There just isn't a lot of case history for this. It is epithelioid hemangio endothelioma. The cancer support group doesn't talk every day. I can understand why. I'm waiting for the oncologist to call back for an appointment, and will hear in the next few days. Who knew. Ha!
It's so hard dealing with pain especially when you don't get any support from the person who your supposed to be closest to. So hard when your trying to deal with pain and that person treats you worse than the pain. Having hard time understanding why. unless you are having a good Day you are treated like crap and they make you feel worthless.
