Hi, was diagnosed in May 07 after 18 months of symptoms. My levels must not be steady as they kept going back to borderline. By the time my GP recognised I had hypothyroidism I was anaemic also. I have been prescribed 50mg of Levothyroxine but don't seem to feel much improvement. I have all usual symptoms, in particular sensitivity to cold, heavy menstruation, tiredness, but another problem I have is aching hands. I wake in the morning with incredibly painful fingers, I cannot bend them and feel tearful because they are so painful. I asked my GP and he said yes I would have 'aches'. Is anyone else suffering to this extreme?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
