Hello Everyone!! I was just wondering if anyone else has Hashimotos? It's an auto-immune disease that affects your thyroid. (Basically your body thinks it's a bad cell in your body and tries to kill it off.) My thyroid is very swollen and covered in cysts. The docs say that it increases my risk of cancer greatly. I can't talk the docs into taking it out- they keep saying what a serious surgery it would be. Anyone else have a similar situation? I'm on synthroid and don't think I could function with out it. I think it's finally regulated and won't let the docs test my numbers for fear they may change my meds on me. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions or advice? Thanks!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
