I get migranes when I'm severly hypo and stressed out! The best thing I've found is putting my head under the hottest shower I can stand and letting the water hit the part of my head that is pounding...and 800 mg of ibuprophen!

I started getting migraines in 2001 around the time I was diagnosed with hypo. I'll get them for days at a time when I'm stressed out or sick and my immune system is already on overload. I take Excedrine Migraine when they first start and it seems to help. I've been to dr.'s about it and they aren't much help. I saw a program on natural healing that stated that a drop or 2 of peppermint essential oils on your temples help and also peppermint tea. I haven't had a chance to try it, but I'm going to next time I get a migraine. I'm not a doctor, but if it helps and doesn't have side effects then I want to give it a shot.

All my life I have had migranes. I have tried all the prescription meds and the Excedrin Migrane works best for me. 2 at the very begining of the headache works for me.

I get them quite often. I don't know if it is because of the hypothyroidism or not, because I have had them my whole life. Like Kerry333, I just take a hot shower, pop a few Aleve and curl up on the couch or in the bed and sleep it off. That usually works for me.

I've suffered from migraines since I was little. May not have anything to do with my hypo, but the best cure: going to bed in a dark room with a ice cold washcloth on my eyes. Trust me, it works!

YES, all the time!...especially from my joints and muscles hurting so much, they are usually tension headaches

I used to get headaches often but since I was diagnosed and put on the thyroxine, I haven't had hardly any. Although I have one now.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
