I have gained A LOT of weight. Not all do to my hypothyroidism. Most of my family is overweight or in some cases even obese and I do not play tennis everyday for 3 hrs a day as I did once. But, in the last 3 years, I've gone from 125 to 204 and I started to freak out. When I started gaining the weight, I knew something wasn't right with me. I was feeling sad for no reason, started to hate winter because of the cold, and my A's turned into withdraws or even failing grades. Finally, I went to a doctor and was finally diagnosed. I have been on synthroid for about 2 weeks. I don't feel too different just yet. I would say that I do have more energy though. I am really hoping it works and that it helps me lose all the extra weight. I have a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol and all of the above. I am completely healthy except for the hypothyroidism and my weight gain and I want to fix it all now before I get conditions like my family. Has anyone had success with the med?????

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
