So I'm 20 years old and have never even heard about this until two weeks ago. I was interning in Washington, DC, and I started noticing that my heart was beating REALLY fast all the time, and I could just feel it beating all day long. My mom told me to go to the urgent care, where I got an EKG and blood work. The dr. called the next day and said that my T3 and T4 were elevated, and that when I get home I should see my doctor and get referred to an endocrinologist. I got home Friday, and my dr is out of town this week. I have an appointment for the 12. So, until then, can anyone just tell me what to expect? I'm really scared..I've never had something chronic wrong with me. I don't feel particularly bad. My heart still pounds at night, I'm tired, kind of depressed, and have some stomach issues, but I'm doing okay physically. What will the dr say? What will the endocrinologist say? Will I be okay?
