my 4yr old boy is having surgery on his shunt as they have found the cause of the headaches and it is a partical blockage of the drain tube in the brain.they are going to remove the shunt and place and external drain in and see if the ventricals can handle the pressure and if it does then he doesn't have to have a shunt put back in but if it doesn't work he will have another shunt put in but on the opposite side of his head.He has a new Neurosurgeon and he is fantastic as he spoke to me as a person and showed me the CTscan and where the blockage is and also there is a pool of fluid further down his brain and that is causing the severe headaches.I am so glad that they have found the problem but am scared of infection while he has the external drain in.His twin sister will be there with him for company as they are very close.I hope if they do have to put another shunt in that they don't put the tubing into the heart as he has lung problems.I am very nervous but my son can't wait to get it out so he has no more headaches.he doesn't like having the headaches

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
