Human papillomavirus is a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans. More than 100 different human papillomavirus (HPV) types have been characterized. Some HPV types cause benign skin warts, or papillomas, for which the virus family is named. HPVs associated with the development of such "common warts" are transmitted...
But I guess now I feel stronger, and Happy that my acid treatments worked.
Im nearly 24 and there isn't any rush.
But right now I think I need to take care of me first and not worry about what others think! that's the best thing, you know that you are a strong and good person and you need to remember that and just take care of yourself and I know eventually things will work out.
I just want to let you all know that I care, and that I hope someone is as understanding with every one of you, as my partner has always been of me.
I always say we are NOT OUR DISEASE. And it is not a crime that we caught a virus in our life. If I did not have this virus and I found that I was dating and the man I met did? Well, I would find a way to work with that without making him ever feel less than. Because this can happen to anyone.
((Hugs everyone))

Some comforting thoughts (at least for me) are that HPV goes away on its own for most people, nearly three out of four Americans (74%) have HPV sometime in their lifetime, and most people don't know they have it. HPV also lays dormant, for weeks, months, even years so its hard to tell who it come from. You don't have to be promiscuous to get HPV--many people get it and only have a few, or just one sexual partner. Not everyone that gets HPV gets cancer either, thank goodness. Also, according to the American Social Health Association many individuals who get genital warts and have abnormal cells do not have recurrences for the rest of their life. Some people have only one, some have several. Most people's immune system's overcome the virus and it is eliminated in two years. This is good good news in my book y'all! So life isn't over. Yeah, it sucks for a while. But its better than a lot of things, right? Cheer up guys. =)
