Is it possible to be HPV positive eventhough you've never had sex? My yearly pap smears are always normal, but just recently I was diagnosed as High Risk HPV positive. I was told by my OB-GYNE that there is nothing for me to do except see her again in 4 months for another pap test, as sometimes HPVs infections go away on their own without causing any kind of abnormality. Should I be taking any medication? Is HPV common for people who dont engage in sex? Since being diagnosed I've been reading about HPV and am terribly worried and confused because I'm not sexually active. How else can HPVs be spread apart from having sex/genital contact? Could one get HPV through Brazilian waxing? I have done this several times in the past. I cant think of how else I could have gotten this.
