Hi again...
As I was going through some of the other discussion strings here, it sparked a question that I should ask my doctor, but I figured I'd toss it out to everyone here, too.
When I started dating my partner now, I noticed that I would periodically spot or bleed during intercourse. My previous doctor suggested that it was because I wasn't lubricated enough. But, the problem was, sometimes I was plenty lubricated and had the same problem.
But then I started using another doctor and she said that the bleeding could be caused by the changing of the cells in my cervix.
Well, after reading up on HPV, the high risk variety (which is what I have) causes the skin cells in the cervix to change. Which in turn can create a very sensitive cervix.
With all that said, has anyone here experienced bleeding during intercourse and is/was it tied to your strain of HPV?
Looking forward to hearing from all of you.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Soooo, I had myself checked for EVERY STD, all came back clear. In December, I'm actually getting the REAL HPV test.
Ask questions girl, dig for answers, and don't give up. Docs are busy lately, but if you get them with a list of questions on paper, and organize your thought ... oh do you learn A LOT!
Jewelle -- Interesting that you may not even have HPV. Does that happen often, if you or anyone else knows, that the test results come back positive, but they don't really have it? Yeah, I too, was tested for every other STD under the sun and this was the only one that came back positive. Yay and Boo at the same time. Good luck with getting your stuff straightened out!
