I know that it's not guaranteed that it will come back...but for now, my HPV is no longer active.
I think were you are getting confused is once you have it you will always show antibodies to it... Like the chickenpox or the mono virus. But it is no longer active.
Many people who have low grade cervical dysplasia have rid it and reversed it..
You need to follow up on your treatments and if you are having sex use protection in order to protect yourself from other strains and other STDs out there ones that are for life and even a death sentence.
My gyno is been at this for over 35 yrs and he only specializes in HPV infection and told me you do rid it ...especially low grade it is much easier to treat.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Everyone situation is different. Also, unless you have another STD or immune suppressed system or comprised immune disease like HIV then it is extremely difficult to rid.
So, I hope this helps and please please relax. HPV is extremely common. 8 out 10 women by the age of 50 have at least ONE hpv infection. 6.2 million American yrly are dx with HPV. You are just part of the majority who know they have it..were others do and don't know because they either don't exhibit the symptoms , fail to go to the doctors or don't care or worse which I think is completely wrong, don't have free health insurance to get the treatment which I think everyone should have in the US.
