Hi all. I contracted HPV a long time ago and was treated for about 2 years. I had dysplasia and was also treated. I've had normal paps since, and no more outbreaks.
I've heard that HPV can come back when you are pregnant. I want to know...
How do I know I'm in remission?
If I am in remission, will the HPV show up when I'm pregnant?
I know HPV can be transmited to a child during birth, but if there is no outbreak can this be true?
I almost forget that I went through all of this because it has been so long. I know HPV never goes away, but how do I know which kind I have?

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Don't worry about it though because worrying about it increases stress, which in turn, lowers your immune system and can increase your viral load.
Focus on good health and taking care of yourself during your pregnancy. Eat healthy fruits and vegetables, get exercise and enough sleep and just focus on your baby.
Good luck!
